U.S. Secretary of State John Kerry will travel to India on Saturday for a global investors summit hosted by Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
The State Department said Tuesday that the secretary would join U.S. business executives and innovators at the summit "to highlight the critical role that U.S. technology plays in supporting sustainable economic growth across India and the Indo-Pacific region."
The Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit takes place January 11-13 in Ahmedabad, India.
The State Department said the United States would be joining the event as a partner country for the first time.
