New security camera footage from the Nairobi mall where militants staged a deadly attack last month appears to show soldiers looting goods from stores inside.
The footage shows several soldiers taking things from various counters and walking through the mall carrying plastic shopping bags and other items.
Shopkeepers complained that items had been looted when they returned to the mall following the four-day siege, in which militants killed 67 people.
Last week, a committee of Kenyan lawmakers said soldiers did not engage in any looting.
Kenyan Defense Forces spokesman Emmanuel Chirchir responded on Twitter on Sunday, saying that the soldiers had been cleared by parliament and will make their case before the Kenyan people. He added that, "the truth will set us free."
The military is planning to hold a news conference Wednesday to address the allegations.
The Somali terror group al-Shabab claimed responsibility for the mall raid, announcing that the attack was retaliation for Kenya's military intervention in Somalia.
Kenya sent troops to Somalia two years ago to help battle al-Shabab, which has been fighting to turn Somalia into a strict Islamic state.
