Italian rescue crews are searching the Mediterranean Sea for survivors of a boat loaded with migrants that capsized Wednesday.
The boat carrying at least 200 people sank south of Italy's Lampedusa island.
Officials say 51 people have been found alive.
A few hours before the deadly accident Italy and Tunisia signed an agreement to reduce the number of migrants heading to Italy in hopes of a better life.
Some 20,000 migrants fleeing unrest in Tunisia also have landed on Lampedusa in recent weeks, causing a humanitarian emergency.
The migrants pay more than $1,000 for the dangerous journey to the tiny Italian island, about half-way between Africa and Europe.
