Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman submitted an official letter of resignation to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu on Thursday. His resignation follows a cease-fire agreement reached between the Israeli government and Gaza's Hamas leaders late Tuesday, and it reduces Netanyahu's support in the parliament to 61 out of 120 lawmakers. VOA's Zlatica Hoke reports Netanyahu is under pressure to call early elections.
