The Islamic State group has released a new propaganda video, this one showing a British hostage depicting life as normal in the militant-controlled Iraqi city of Mosul.
In an eight-minute video posted on jihadi websites, the hostage, photojournalist John Cantlie, claims "life in Mosul is business as usual."
He said residents in Iraq's second-biggest city, taken over by Islamic State insurgents last June, are not "living in fear."
During the documentary-style video, Cantlie visits a market, a hospital and a police station.
It is the second time Cantlie has been shown in a newscast-like Islamic State videos in a city. A previous video showed him Kobani, the Syrian town near the Turkish border where militants and Kurdish troops have been engaged in fighting for months. In five other videos, Cantlie was shown in dark rooms.
Cantlie was captured two years ago by Islamic State militants. In a November video, Cantlie said he "long ago" accepted that his fate is "overwhelmingly likely" to be the same as four other Western hostages who were beheaded on camera by the jihadists.
Britain said it is studying the content of Cantlie's Mosul video.
