The International Criminal Court on Thursday issued an arrest warrant for a Darfur rebel leader accused in a deadly attack on African Union peacekeepers.
ICC judges said Sudan has not cooperated in sending 51-year-old Abdallah Banda to the Netherlands to face war crimes charges in November.
Banda was indicted in 2009 with leading the large-scale attack in which 12 peacekeepers were killed in Haskanita, southern Sudan.
Four others are wanted by the international court for violating human rights in Darfur, including Sudan's President Omar al-Bashir. He is accused of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity for his alleged role in Darfur's violent ethnic conflict, which according to the United Nations has claimed 300,000 lives.
