Reports say militants in Nigeria's Gombe state have attacked a French cement plant, in the second attack on that facility in two months.
Reports from Nigeria says armed men forced their way into the Ashaka cement plant near the town of Bajoga early Thursday. It is unclear whether there are casualties.
Witnesses told news reporters that gunmen attacked the town, shooting sporadically, but seemed to be targeting the cement plant, which is owned by the French Lafarge group.
Local officials say the plant was evacuated before the attack.
The Ashaka plant was also raided in November, when gunmen fled with stolen vehicles and explosive materials.
