The sordid tale of former U.S. professional basketball player Lamar Odom topped Google’s most searched list for 2015, according to data released by the Internet search giant.
In October, the athlete and reality TV star was found unconscious in a Nevada brothel after a reported 4-day drug and alcohol binge. His situation had the world searching for answers.
Joining Odom on the most searched list was the city of Paris, French satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo and the the movie "Jurassic World."
Odom also topped the list of most searched people, which included mixed martial arts fighter Ronda Rousey, reality TV personality Caitlyn Jenner and singer Adele.
Odom was married to Caitlyn (then Bruce) Jenner’s stepdaughter, Khloe Kardashian in 2009.
Other popular searches in 2015 included “water on Mars,” “Star Wars” and “Paris under attack,” according to Google.
Google’s list excludes search queries that were sexually explicit.
Fellow Internet giants Twitter and Facebook have also released their own set of trending items.
Facebook said the U.S. presidential election was the most discussed topic, while Twitter said #ParisAttacks was the most trending hashtag of the year so far.
