Barack Obama came into office as the first African-American president and has spent his final years of his presidency trying to address a racial divide and the inequalities faced by minority young men. Now, two years after President Obama launched My Brother’s Keeper, more than $600 million in private grants has been spent in 250 U.S. communities to narrow the opportunity gap. VOA correspondent Aru Pande has more on one Philadelphia program that is empowering minorities through education.
