South African police have arrested four police officers in connection with the fatal shooting of a protester during a demonstration outside of Johannesburg.
Authorities say the one of the officers has been accused of murder and the other three are facing lesser charges for failing to report the killing.
Officials say a 28-year-old man was killed this week during a demonstration about housing.
Similar demonstrations have erupted in other poor areas of South Africa.
Human rights officials have expressed concern with what they call a heavy-handed response by police in some unrest.
