Kenya's High Court has ruled that former industrialization minister Henry Kosgey should face trial over charges he illegally imported cars into the country.

Kosgey has denied the charges.

He is one of four ministers in the Kenyan government to either step down or resign since 2010 over graft charges. Kosgey is also chairman of Kenyan Prime Minister Raila Odinga's Orange Democratic Movement Party.

The Kenya Anti-Corruption Commission says that Kosgey gave exemptions to cars that were older than the eight-year legal limit and also waived taxes on them.

Kosgey is also one of six Kenyans accused by the International Criminal Court (ICC) of being responsible for post-election violence in 2007 and 2008. The unrest killed more than 1,200 people.
