Lamar Odom, a former U.S. professional basketball star and reality TV celebrity has been hospitalized after being found unconscious Tuesday night in a Nevada brothel.

Odom was found Tuesday afternoon at the Love Ranch brothel in Crystal, Nevada, which is about 112 kilometers from Las Vegas.

He was taken to a nearby hospital, but when officials tried to airlift Odom to a Las Vegas hospital the 2.08-meter Odom was too tall to fit in the helicopter. He was driven instead.

Latest reports say Odom was still unconscious and breathing with the assistance of machines Wednesday.

As a National Basketball Association player, Odom won two championships as a member of the Los Angeles Lakers in 2009 and 2010. He left basketball in 2013, but remained in the spotlight because of his marriage to reality TV star Khloe Kardashian.
