Five Killed in Attack on Pakistani Intelligence Compound

At least five people were killed, and nearly 40 injured, after gunmen attacked the regional offices of Pakistan's spy agency in the country's south.

Police say the gunmen opened fire on the heavily guarded compound in the town of Sukkur, in Singh province, late Wednesday firing shots and detonating bombs that collapsed at least one building.

At least three militants were killed, although no one has claimed responsibility for the attack.

Officials say the Inter-Services Intelligence agency appears to have been the target of the attack although other government agencies were housed at the facility.
