Brazilian voters have elected a former army officer and far-right congressman as the country's next president. Jair Bolsonaro's victory brings to an end more than a decade of leftist rule in Brazil. The president-elect has promised a harsh crackdown on crime and corruption, but his rhetoric targeting women, homosexuals and racial minorities has been criticized both home and abroad.
