‘Black Lives Matter’ protestors took to the streets of European cities again at the weekend in solidarity with demonstrations in the United States, which were triggered by the death of 46-year-old black man George Floyd two weeks ago in Minneapolis. The protestors in Britain, and in other European cities, have tapped into deep-rooted anger over a perceived lack of understanding of their countries’ colonial histories, as Henry Ridgwell reports from London.
