The opposition in Belarus says it is clear Raman Pratasevich, the journalist arrested Sunday after his flight was forced to land in Minsk, has been beaten in detention. They point to an online video confession they and others allege was made under duress. Some Western leaders have described the plane’s diversion as a “state-sponsored hijacking” and many European airlines are avoiding Belarusian airspace. Henry Ridgwell reports from London.
