Serbian Novak Djokovic won the Australian Open for the sixth time Sunday, defeating Britain's Andy Murray in three sets.
The match looked to be a rout after Djokovic broke Murray's first service game on his way to taking the first set 6-1.
Murray rallied back against the world's top-ranked player in the second set, taking a 5-4 lead before ultimately losing 7-5.
The third set was even tighter with Murray leading 6-5, but Djokovic forced a tiebreaker and won the set 7-6.
Djokovic has now won 11 major tournaments in his career.That total includes a record-tying six Australian Open titles, four of which he won by beating Murray in the finals.
After the match, Murray joked, "I feel like I've been here before."
Djokovic said it was a tough match, calling Murray a great champion and friend, and saying he was "extremely honored to be mentioned alongside the legends of our sport."
Last year, Djokovic won the Australian Open before going on to win Wimbledon and the U.S. Open.He lost in the final of the French Open to Switzerland's Stanislas Wawrinka.
Germany's Angelique Kerber stunned American Serena Williams for the women's title on Saturday for her first major tournament win.
