Ancient Syrian City of Palmyra Brought to Life Through Digital Exhibit
The ancient Syrian city of Palmyra has captured the imagination of scholars and philosophers. This desert city stretches some three kilometers and was at the crossroads of cultures and religions. The Islamic State terror group has damaged parts of the site. An on-line exhibit by the Getty Research Institute in Los Angeles attempts to show the beauty of Palmyra before that destruction.
