Despite Loss, a National Star Rises in Texas

On Tuesday night, Robert Francis "Beto" O’Rourke, a 46-year-old democratic congressman, fell short in his bid to unseat the incumbent Republican Senator Ted Cruz in the deep red state. But that didn’t stop supporters of “Beto” from cheering on and dreaming big — 2020 big — for their hometown favorite. VOA’s Ramon Taylor reports from El Paso.
