The Democratic Party made it official Tuesday, naming Hillary Clinton their candidate for president in 2016 – and making history by selecting the first woman to represent a major U.S. political party. Following the roll call vote, Tuesday's speakers included former President Bill Clinton as well as the Mothers of the Movement -- the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Sandra Bland and other young black victims of violence.

Wyoming, almost the entire delegation is dressed in Black Lives Matter T-shirts, casts 11 votes for Hillary Clinton and seven votes for Bernie Sanders.

And now back to Vermont. "How do you cast your 26 votes?" says Rawlings-Blake.

Sanders, who appears emotional, is sitting with the Vermont delegation.

State delegates cast 22 votes for Sanders and four votes for Clinton.

Roll call concludes as Hillary Clinton is voted the Democratic party's nominee

Sanders goes to the microphone. "Bernie!" chants can be heard throughout the arena.

Sanders moves that Hillary Clinton be named as Democratic nominee for president.
