The Democratic Party made it official Tuesday, naming Hillary Clinton their candidate for president in 2016 – and making history by selecting the first woman to represent a major U.S. political party. Following the roll call vote, Tuesday's speakers included former President Bill Clinton as well as the Mothers of the Movement -- the mothers of Trayvon Martin, Eric Garner, Michael Brown, Sandra Bland and other young black victims of violence.

Georgia, casting itself as the next battleground state, 87 votes for Clinton and 29 votes for Sanders.
Guam, whose delegates traveled the farthest for the convention, casts nine votes for Hillary Clinton, two votes for Bernie Sanders and one absent.
