Kaine is talking about his upbringing: My parents, Al and Kathy, taught me about hard work, and about kindness, and, most importantly, faith.
He says he wents to a Jesuit high school and it brings a big cheer that even shocks Kaine.

Doing missionary work in Honduras, Kaine said he got a firsthand look at a dictatorship. "It convinced me that we've got to advance opportunity for everyone," he said.
