LIVE BLOG: Obama, Kaine, Biden Make the Case for Hillary Clinton as President

update

The theme for the third day of the Democratic National Convention is "Working Together." Previous speakers included Vice President Joe Biden and Michael Bloomberg.

An "In Memoriam" video is playing, showing people (not all Democrats) who have died in the past four years -- some are Democratic Party officials, others are people such as Nelson Mandela, poet Maya Angelou, boxer Muhammad Ali and Clementa Pinckney, a Democratic member of the South Carolina Senate who, along with eight other people, were killed by a gunman a year ago in a Charleston church.

The crowd is clapping and cheering through most of the video.

Congressman Ben Ray Luján of New Mexico, Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee chairman, tells the tale of his family, which included family members who were union members, took in family members when they needed help. He says it is the story of America.

Lujan recites an adage his grandparents said to him: "Tell me who you walk with and I'll tell you who you are."

His speech is an introduction to a video that questions Republicans who put party loyalty before country.

Another video plays, about the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee and its efforts to nominate and elect Democrats.
