LIVE BLOG: Obama, Kaine, Biden Make the Case for Hillary Clinton as President

update

The theme for the third day of the Democratic National Convention is "Working Together." Previous speakers included Vice President Joe Biden and Michael Bloomberg.

"Our power doesn’t come from some self-declared savior promising that he alone can restore order. We don’t look to be ruled." Obama cites the preamble to the U.S. Constitution: We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal; that together, we, the people, can form a more perfect union.

"That’s who we are. That’s our birthright – the capacity to shape our own destiny. That’s what drove patriots to choose revolution over tyranny," Obama says

Obama said the biggest difference in this election might be the meaning of our democracy.
