Burundi Protesters Clash with Police
- By Gabe Joselow
Protesters in Burundi clashed with police on Wednesday May 13 in the Musaga neighborhood of Bujumbura during demonstrations against Burundian President Pierre Nkurunziza’s plans to run for a constitutionally dubious third term in office. Protesters threw stones and police fired tear gas, water cannons and may have shot live rounds to disperse them.
