Concern Mounts Over Russian Crackdown on Internet Search Engines
Russian media activists are warning of a crackdown on Internet freedom as lawmakers consider more ways to exert greater control over search engines. The Kremlin’s media watchdog contacted Internet giants Facebook, Twitter and Google last month to remind them that they must comply with existing Russian laws.
