Community-led farming initiative restores wastelands, rural incomes in North India
In North India, vast tracts of land turned into wasteland in recent years as farmers abandoned cultivating their fields — partly because it was unprofitable to farm their small patches of land and partly because stray animals destroyed crops they planted.
