China’s tariffs loss is Vietnam’s gain
With the incoming Trump administration promising an entirely new round of tariffs on U.S. imports, what can we expect? The last time Trump imposed tariffs on China many companies moved their factories to Vietnam. It created a boom and added tens of thousands of jobs to Vietnam’s economy. We get some perspective on the possible impacts on future tariff policy with Margaret Peters, Professor of Political Science at the University of California Los Angeles (UCLA) and author of "Trading Barriers Immigration and the Remaking of Globalization."
