Sen. John MCain Questions US Gains Against Islamic State

Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.), who chairs the Senate Armed Services Committee, pressed Carter on whether or not the United States has succeeded in containing IS militants, pointing to the groups recent attacks on a Russian airliner in Sinai, and mass shootings by Islamist radicals in Paris and San Bernardino, California.
