Palace officials in Britain have announced that Prince William and his new bride Catherine will visit the United States this July as part of their first official overseas trip as husband and wife.
In a statement Thursday, St. James Palace said the newlyweds will make a stop in California after an official tour of Canada beginning on June 30.
The Royal Couple will arrive in California on July 8 for a three-day stay. A more detailed itinerary will be released at a later date.
This will be William's first official trip to the United States and Catherine's first-ever visit to the country.
The royal couple, now known as the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, were married April 29 at Westminster Abbey in a ceremony viewed by an estimated worldwide audience of two billion.
