Britain's Prince William and his wife Catherine, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, finished up their North American tour by visiting a nonprofit organization in Los Angeles that teaches art to needy children.
The couple watched a dance event Sunday at Inner-City Arts academy, headquartered in one of LA's poorest neighborhoods. Organizers say the nonprofit group gives the children a safe haven from the drugs and violence of the streets.
Later in the day, William and Catherine attended a job fair for returning U.S. military personnel.
Sunday's visit was a sharp turn from Saturday's events, when the young couple experienced a touch of Hollywood glamour at an event promoting up-and-coming British film talent. The event drew U.S. and British movie stars, and was sponsored by the British Academy of Film and Television Arts.
The newly married couple arrived in Los Angeles Friday after a nine-day trip to Canada.
