Australia Accused of Inflicting ‘Deliberate Suffering’ on Refugees
Human rights groups are accusing Australia of condoning the severe abuse of refugees who have been deported to asylum processing centers on the tiny Pacific island of Nauru. Around 2,000 refugees from Afganistan, Iran, Iraq, Somalia and other countries were sent there after Australia struck a deal with the Nauruan government in 2012. Henry Ridgwell reports.
