Gunmen and suicide bombers have carried out multiple attacks on police in western Iraq, killing at least 19 people.
Authorities said Wednesday the attacks happened overnight in and around the town of Rutba, in Anbar province.
They included suicide bombers ramming vehicles into police checkpoints and targeting a bridge.
Sixteen of the victims were police, while another three were civilians.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility for the attacks.
