Seeking Asylum, Afraid to Go Home

The United States offers asylum or protection to people who are forced to flee their own countries because of persecution due to race, religion, nationality, or political opinion. In New Jersey, one asylum seeker waited at a halfway house, called the Lighthouse, to learn about his status. VOA's Aline Barros reports.
