MOSCOW —
The leader of Russia's Chechen republic has posted several pictures online that have been viewed as threats to the Russian opposition.
Ramzan Kadyrov uploaded a photograph on Instagram Sunday that shows him in camouflage, toting a machine gun in front of snow-capped peaks. The caption carries the title of a film he plans to release: “Those Who Didn't Understand Will Understand.”
Kadyrov has been increasingly vocal against the Russian opposition in the past several weeks and has also posted a photograph on Instagram showing opposition figures in the crosshairs of a sniper's rifle.
Human rights activists have accused Kadyrov of ordering the killings of some who oppose him or Putin. Kadryov denies such accusations.
