Thirteen years after the September 11 terror attacks, 4 percent of Americans consider terrorism the most important problem facing the United States.
The findings, from a poll conducted by Gallup, are up slightly from the past four years, when only 1 percent of Americans mentioned terrorism.
In the months that followed the 2001 attacks, 46 percent of Americans named terrorism as the number one problem.
Now, dissatisfaction with government, the economy, unemployment and immigration remain the issues that most concern those surveyed.
Gallup has been asking Americans every month since March 2001 to name the most important problem facing the nation.
