A Turkish ship raided by Israeli forces as it tried to break the naval blockade of Gaza is back in Turkey, but could be headed back to the Palestinian territory.
The Mavi Marmara arrived at the southern port of Iskenderun Saturday, days after being released by Israeli authorities.
It was part of a Gaza-bound flotilla that was intercepted by Israeli commandos in May, resulting in the deaths of nine pro-Palestinian activists.
An official with the Turkish charity that organized the flotilla said Saturday that the Mavi Marmara could be used in future attempts to get aid to Gaza.
Huseyin Oruc said the ship, and two others released by Israel, were bought "for Palestinian needs" and that there were no conditions on how they could be used.
Oruc also accused Israel of repairing and painting over damage inflicted on the Mavi Marmara.
Israel has said its forces acted in self defense after they were attacked by armed activists on the ship.
Earlier this week, Israel agreed to take part in a U.N. investigation into the incident after previously rejecting calls for an international probe.
