Doctors Without Borders has accused Sudan of bombing and partially destroying a hospital in the war-torn Southern Kordofan region.
The medical aid group, known by its French acronym MSF, says two bombs hit the hospital Monday as Sudanese aircraft attacked the village of Farandalla.
It reports five people were wounded in the village and one MSF staff member was injured at the hospital. The bombs also destroyed the hospital's emergency room, pharmacy and kitchen.
Sudanese officials have made no comment on the report.
In a statement, MSF's head of mission Brian Moller said the group is shocked a medical facility was bombed. He says the hospital was clearly identified with a flag and a cross on the roof.
Sudan has been fighting rebels in Southern Kordofan and Blue Nile states since 2011, around the time South Sudan split from the north and became an independent nation. Human rights groups have repeatedly warned of a humanitarian crisis in the two states.
MSF reports that several other medical facilities in Southern Kordofan have been bombed in recent weeks.
