Activist Wants African Immigrants to Get Involved in US Campaign
As this year’s U.S. presidential campaign heats up, activist Sylvester Okere — the first Nigerian American superdelegate for Maryland, at the Democratic National Convention in 2012 — is calling on the African immigrant community to get involved now by getting to know the candidates, attending rallies and talking to people about the candidates.
