Afghanistan-Pakistan Border Closing Costs Locals, Traders
- By VOA News
Hundreds of trucks are stuck at the border between Afghanistan and Pakistan since last Friday. Pakistan closed the Wesh-Chaman crossing when angry protesters on the Afghan side burned a Pakistani flag. Afghanistan's ambassador to Pakistan has called it a "condemnable act" but the two sides have yet to come to an agreement. Thousands of people cross this border daily. Traders say they are losing thousands of dollars daily.
