London Posters Seek Information About Missing

Frantic relatives and friends of those missing in Thursday's terrorist attacks in London have mounted posters on bus shelters and telephone booths seeking information about their loved ones.

Many include photographs of those missing and telephone numbers of those looking for them in a scene reminiscent of the aftermath of the September 11, 2001 attacks in New York.

Bouquets of flowers are piling up near bus stops and subway stations in remembrance of victims of the bombings.

Police say they are looking into more than 1,000 missing person reports. The are opening a 24-hour center to provide information and counseling to relatives of the missing, but so far they have not identified any of the dead.

Some information for this report provided by AFP and AP.
