Palestinian sources say two Hamas militants have been killed in an Israeli airstrike in the Gaza Strip early Wednesday.
The sources say the airstrike targeted a group of gunmen in a refugee camp in northern Gaza.
Israel has been carrying out an air campaign against Hamas militants firing rockets into southern Israel for more than a week.
About 50 Palestinians - mostly militants - have been killed in the Israeli attacks. Palestinian rockets have killed two Israelis since mid-May.
On Tuesday, Israeli President Ehud Olmert said he plans to address residents of the Gaza Strip soon about the situation.
Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas said he plans to meet with Mr. Olmert next week.
The two men agreed in March to meet every two weeks, as part of a U.S.- backed deal to continue dialogue despite ongoing violence.
Mr. Abbas did not say where the talks will be held. They are set for June 7.
In other news, Palestinian sources say Israeli troops shot dead two Palestinian militants in separate operations in the West Bank. Both militants belonged to the al-Aqsa Martyrs Brigades, an offshoot of Mr. Abbas' Fatah faction.
