Indonesian police say they have arrested a man suspected of helping fund last month's deadly hotel bombings in Jakarta.
National police spokesman Nanan Soekarna said Wednesday that authorities are questioning Mohamad Jibril, the owner of an Islamic news Web site. He said police took Jibril into custody late Tuesday.
The suspect's father, Abu Jibril, denied his son was involved. He told reporters his son had asked him for lunch money every day and could not possibly help fund the bombings.
Jibril's arrest is part of an investigation into the July 17 suicide bomb attacks on the Marriott and Ritz Carlton hotels. Nine people died, including two suicide bombers.
Police have arrested five other suspects and are looking for several more.
Authorities believe that Malaysian-born extremist Noordin Top, suspected of having links to al-Qaida, organized the attacks with funds from abroad.
