Mexican officials say at least 10 youths were injured in a riot at a prison for juvenile offenders in Mexico City Monday.
Authorities say most of the injuries were minor. One prisoner was taken to a hospital.
Officials say rival groups in the prison attacked each other and also started a fire.
Television footage showed police in riot gear and firemen responding to the disturbance.
The footage also showed prisoners on the building's roof carrying a banner reading in Spanish "no more beatings."
Parents gathered outside the facility say the youngsters are mistreated and beaten at the facility.
