Police say at least two people have been killed and more than 50 others injured in a series of bombings in India's northeast.
Police spokesman Nepal Das says Wednesday's blasts occurred in quick succession in Agartala, the capital of Tripura state. At least three of the explosions took place in crowded markets, another at a bus stand. Police say many of the injured were women.
There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
India's remote northeast has been rocked by violence, as a number of separatist groups fight for greater autonomy or independence.
India has been hit by a wave of bombings in recent weeks. At least eight people were killed in explosions in the western states of Maharashtra and Gujarat on Monday.
On Saturday, three people were killed in a bombing in India's capital, New Delhi.
At least 22 people were killed in bombings in the capital more than two weeks ago. On Monday, police arrested a suspect in those attacks, Mohammed Arif. He is believed to be a member of the Islamist militant group, Indian Mujahideen, which claimed responsibility for the September 13 blasts.
