Nobel laureate and former U.S. Vice President Al Gore has endorsed fellow Democrat, Senator Barack Obama, for president.
Gore told supporters Monday at a rally in Detroit, Michigan, that Obama is the candidate to lead the country toward a better future.
Gore said that over the next four years, the United States will face many challenges such as bringing American troops home from Iraq, fixing the economy and solving the climate crisis. He said Obama is the candidate best able to solve these problems and bring change to America.
Gore won the Nobel Peace prize last year for his campaign against global warming.
