An attempt to address America's weight problem has run into trouble in New York. Health officials are trying to increase the city's consumption of fruits and vegetables, especially in less affluent neighborhoods where obesity rates are higher. Given that more than half of New York adults are overweight or obese - and an estimated 700,000 suffer from diabetes - the argument is not over the need for action. Instead, the issue is the way the city has gone about it.
