The Zimbabwean opposition formation led by Morgan has complained to Zimbabwe Broadcasting Holdings Chief Executive Henry Muradzikwa that it is not receiving coverage as promised under amendments to media legislation.
The Zimbabwean news Web site ZimOnline quoted Movement for Democratic Change Information Director Luke Tamborinyoka as saying that by comparison the ruling party is getting heavy coverage. Tamborinyoka could not be reached for comment.
The Media Monitoring Project of Zimbabwe says state media have continued to violate domestic and regional guidelines on fairness by blacking out the opposition.
Media Monitoring Project Coordinator Andrew Moyse told reporter Patience Rusere that the only coverage the opposition gets on state media is negative.
