The top nominees for this year's American Screen Actors Guild awards include the road-trip drama Into the Wild and the crime thriller No Country for Old Men.
Into the Wild, directed by actor Sean Penn, also received a nomination for outstanding performance by a cast in a motion picture, along with the crime saga American Gangster starring Denzel Washington, and No Country for Old Men.
Nominees for best film actress include Cate Blanchett for the drama Elizabeth: The Golden Age, and Angelina Jolie as the wife of slain journalist Daniel Pearl in A Mighty Heart.
Among the best actor nominees were George Clooney for his role as a troubled attorney in Michael Clayton and Daniel Day-Lewis in the oil film There Will Be Blood.
The television award for best cast performance in a drama series included the casts of Grey's Anatomy and The Sopranos.
The Guild awards will be presented January 27 in Los Angeles.
Film and TV nominees were chosen by two groups of people randomly selected from the guild's members.
