Namibian authorities have ordered two Americans deported for recruiting Namibians for security jobs in Iraq and Afghanistan.
The Namibian Security Council ordered the immediate closure of their company, called Special Operations Consulting-Security Management Group. Namibian officials declared the company's representatives, Paul Grimes and Frederic Piry, as "prohibited immigrants."
Grimes told local media earlier this week that the U.S.-based company had Namibian government approval to recruit within the country. He said they were trying to recruit at least three thousand Namibians for security jobs abroad.
Namibian law prohibits its citizens from taking part in military or security operations in other countries, without written approval from the Namibian government.
